On November 15th, 2025 at 1:30pm, approximately 30 FOMS members gathered in Kraissl Hall at the Franklin Mineral Museum to await the election results.
Hardcopy ballots were either mailed to the museum and stored until the meeting, or members attending in person were able to directly hand their ballots to President Stephanie Koles.
President Stephanie Koles checked envelope IDs against the current membership list and confirmed receipt and no duplicates. One envelope was disqualified because the sender had obliterated their envelope ID.
Dr. Steve Kuitems and Mr. Bill Butkowski anonymously tallied the ballot results into a computer application (JotForm) configured by Dr. Eric Stroud. Every 25 votes or so, we took a break to look at the results coming in, using the large monitor at the front of the room.
A total of 102 ballots were counted within 2 hours in the presence of all attending.
A downloadable graphical report of the results is found below.
Thank you to all of the FOMS members for their votes, and for their support in getting half of our Let’s Fix FOMS slate elected! We look forward to serving you in 2026!
